It's been long overdue but the greatest comeback story from Tragedy to Triumph has come!

Well l it’s been 2 months since I’ve updated you guys on the update on my health! But that’s exactly why I haven’t had the chance to update because of the complications I was having!

update:

January has been a month of preparation for the massive surgery I have February 9th. In the process of preparing for the surgery, I had to have a quick procedure for stone removal. When we got home from our December stay I was having a lot of spasms & autonomic dysreflexia that were pretty consistent. Thankfully Erika remembered they had done a CT scan and looked at the results. Come to find out, I had a 1 5%cm stone in my bladder. This is something that I have delt with for a long time so knew it would be a quick procedure. Well the procedure was more invasive then we thought when they got into the bladder the stone was so big that they couldn’t do the normal procedure called lithotripsy. What that is is they use a device that sends some type of waves through the bladder. What it does is it breaks up the stone into tiny pieces so that it can pass without any side effects or recovery time. Instead they had to use a laser to break it up. At first the one major side effect was that they used a silicon catheter which come to find out I’m allergic to. The other disappointing thing is that the summary of a previous hospital visit showed that there was a stone that is something that you should let the patient know. So then the days following after that the recovery was hard because I had a lot of autonomic dysreflexia! It seemed to have lasted maybe five days. Usually it’s only half a day. But back to the upcoming surgery which will be Thursday of this week. We have been waiting on this since we found out in May that I had a fractured femur which we wouldn’t have known overhearing the doctor talk to the wound therapist. But has turned into my femur pushing so far up into my left hip which has caused my femur to fuse to my pelvis. They said the surgery will take six hours. This surgery is going to consist of cutting the femur right below the fusion and taking out the hip socket. But I’ve been waiting for this surgery for a long time! This will relieve the pain in my hip from sitting on it. I will have to be on bedrest for one month. To prevent ever getting bedsores again there is a special hospital bed that is very hard to buy because they usually only sell them to hospitals and not patients. Instead they rent it for a ridiculous amount of money per for a month. That in and of itself was only by the grace of God! However this bed can reduce bed sores from 95% -98% which is what has gotten us one year and a half of learning about the power of prayer can do when you “pray continuously without ceasing”! But the hospital bed I need is extremely expensive and there’s some other medical Devices that I need.  But anyway that hospital bed is great because you don’t have to adjust or turn the patient from side to side to provide pressure relief. Which is how my skin broke down! Which  is great for your quality of life & would be night and day! So my brother is going to start a go fund me and I am going to start selling T-shirts. Right now I’m looking for a design but it takes me back to the night of my injury. But when my mom arrived at the hospital that night and was uncontrollably crying.  My mind and my heart was at peace and I told her “MOM! PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER GOD IS IN CONTROL!” I call it an injury because it wasn’t an accident to God has used my life in so many different ways then I could’ve if I was walking around. Probably would have never been on the front page of the Indianapolis! Probably wouldn’t  have had a chance to work with the Billy Graham crusade. I probably wouldn’t have had the opportunity to share my story in the women’s monthly magazine. I even had inmates sending me letters a little different we are to reach the masses and the guy go easier for us the world preaching the gospel… However I looked up one of the inmates court case and he was guilty! You might as well had tattooed on your forehead I’m guilty! But no I kid he  could’ve come to know Christ in prison. My story went world wide and we know the Lord is still working because even today people ask whatever happened to your son it’s things like that that gives me the assurance Christ is still working. As I tell people as long as I have breath my mission has not been completed until I hear well done my good and faithful servant! So if you wouldn’t mind say a prayer that surgery goes well Thursday, recovery goes well, and I don’t have to stay long at the hospital.

Until weekend may the Lord be with you. #GraceRelations
